Briefing
Our client, an international fashion and retail company, is migrating the core of its applications to Microservices to optimize the implementation of business solutions for its clients. A number of these applications are in the area of Logistics and Transport for managing the shipment of goods ordered with online retailers.
Solution
We provide the client with an experienced Scrum team to assist with the migration. The key elements were the Product Owner who was able to define the high-level business requirements in detailed user stories, and the technical proficiency of the team who was able to perform the technical migration taking into account the necessary tests to ensure that the migration was performed without any impact on the end user. The migration took place in two steps: the first step involved a migration from an application server to a monolithic container, and the second involved the migration in different Microservices with data migration from an SQL database to a message-oriented architecture with NoSQL databases.
Result
Qindel currently provides support for these services and continues to be responsible for the development of new features.
